Countrywide Association of Realtors® (NAR) President Charlie Oppler hosted a virtual telethon to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Realtors Relief Foundation (RRF), which supplies housing-related guidance to victims of disasters these types of as wildfires, hurricanes and tornadoes. The telethon, portion of RRF’s Hope Soaring campaign to increase $8.5 million this 12 months, also took position all around the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York – the impetus for RRF’s launch in 2001.
The telethon drew 451 donations from folks and companies, with large donations averaging $17,371 and small types averaging $97. Like the proceeds from the telethon, RRF has lifted about $7.3 million so far and achieved 86% of its objective for Hope Growing.
Realtors can make a donation to RRF to enable strengthen the marketing campaign, which runs via November.
