The Vipp Farmhouse — Design Hunter

Launched earlier this year, the latest destination to be added to the Vipp hotel concept is a former gardener’s residence offering an escape to nature combined with modern comfort and convenience.

Originally dating back to the 18th century, the Vipp Farmhouse is located in a forest on an estate on the Danish island of Lolland, a two hour drive from Copenhagen. Behind the charm of a traditional exterior with whitewashed facades and a thatched roof the interior has been updated to create thoughtfully designed contemporary accommodation that can host up to 6 guests. There are 3 double bedrooms, including one on the ground floor that opens up onto a garden terrace, plus a bathroom and an open plan kitchen and living area – 88m² in total.

The modern Scandinavian minimalist interior – a bright, light space filled with soft textiles and curated art finds – was designed by Julie Cloos Mølsgaard and includes a modular Vipp kitchen and bathroom. The furniture, lighting and accessories are also by Vipp.

Fresh seasonal produce, ready to be cooked up in the Vipp kitchen, is available from the neighbouring estate, which supplies Danish Michelin restaurants as well as the estate restaurant.

Commissioned by Vipp and the estate owner Ulrik. Th. Jørgensen, the Vipp Farmhouse is the fourth to be added to the Vipp hotel concept – unique accommodation offering the opportunity to experience the Vipp design philosophy and products in out of the ordinary locations.

Other Vipp hotel destinations include the Vipp Shelter at Lake Immeln in Sweden and The Vipp loft and Chimney House in Copenhagen.
